Myanmar

Travel Geek: Documentary Myanmar, Part One

In this first of three episodes of Travel Geek: Documentary Myanmar, I make my way through the inner and outer reaches of the capital city, Mandalay. While there, I check out monumentally historical relics, places of deep, religious significance, and even take a bike ride through the labyrinthine back streets of the city center.

Travel Geek: Documentary Myanmar, Part Two

In this second of three episodes of Travel Geek: Documentary Myanmar, I take on the megaliths of Burma’s most famous collection of relics: Bagan.

Teeming with history and culture, Bagan is Myanmar’s old kingdom capital. And by the looks of how preserved and revered these stoic temples and stupas are, the kings of old certainly built with legacy in mind. Ride along, back through time as I explore the pagoda playland of Bagan!

Travel Geek: Documentary Myanmar, Part Three

In this last installation of the three-part Travel Geek documentary, I ply the life-giving waters of Inle Lake, and Myanmar’s largest continual gathering of native tribespeople.

As the famous market makes its way around one of many stations around the lake, visitors to this area can take in all the lake has to offer. From H’mong, to Dzao, to Karen and longneck tribes, the people, and not just the amazing lake itself, are what make this ancient collective great.
